Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Codager, a project, task, and credentials management platform operated by Xunoia ("Xunoia," "we," "us," or "our"), including the optional WhatsApp AI assistant. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using Codager — including by linking a WhatsApp number and messaging the assistant — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

Codager helps teams organize projects and clients, track tasks and meetings, and store credentials and other sensitive resources (such as passwords, TOTP two-factor seeds, and .env file contents) in encrypted form. Optionally, you may link a WhatsApp number to a WhatsApp AI assistant that lets you query and update your data through natural-language messages — in English, Hindi, Telugu, French, or a mix of these — including voice notes, which are transcribed automatically before being processed.

3. Account responsibilities

Codager uses passwordless, email one-time-code (OTP) login — there is no password to lose, but this means the security of your account depends on the security of your email account. Keep it secure, and contact us if you believe your email has been compromised.

You are responsible for what you choose to store in Codager, particularly credentials, passwords, TOTP seeds, and .env file contents, and for exercising appropriate judgment about what belongs in the platform.

You are responsible for who you invite as a member of a project. Unless a project has been placed into end-to-end encrypted vault mode, invited project members (editors and viewers alike) can see that project's full secrets, not just its metadata. Only invite people you trust with that access.

You are responsible for keeping your linked WhatsApp number under your own control. If your number is ever lost, compromised, or reassigned, unlink it immediately from your Profile settings to prevent someone else from acting on your behalf through the assistant.

4. The WhatsApp AI assistant

The assistant can only take a fixed, limited set of actions (for example: creating, updating, or completing a task; creating a meeting; or summarizing project status) and only within the permissions your account already has in Codager — it never gains access beyond what you could already do in the web app.

The assistant is built to ask a clarifying question when a request is ambiguous rather than guess, but like any AI system it can still misinterpret what you meant. Review what it does, especially for anything important or time-sensitive, and do not rely on it for critical or high-stakes actions without verifying the result.

Message content you send to the assistant, including transcribed voice notes, is processed by third-party AI and transcription providers in order to generate a response. See our Privacy Policy for the current list of subprocessors and how that data is handled.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Codager for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls, permission checks, or the encryption or vault system;
  • Attempt to access data, projects, or credentials you have not been granted access to;
  • Abuse the WhatsApp integration — including spam, automated or scripted messaging, or attempts to overwhelm the assistant — reasonable rate limits may be applied to protect the service; or
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.

6. Data storage and encryption limitations

Codager offers an optional end-to-end encrypted ("zero-knowledge") vault mode for project secrets. When a project is on vault mode, that project's secrets are encrypted client-side with a key the server never has access to in unencrypted form.

This means that if you lose the passphrase or key protecting a vault-mode project, Xunoia cannot recover the secrets stored in it — not through customer support, account recovery, or any other means. This is an intentional, structural property of the zero-knowledge design, not a limitation we can waive. Keep your vault passphrase/key backed up somewhere safe.

7. Termination

You may stop using Codager at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your data is handled according to the retention and deletion terms described in our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Codager is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defect will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content, including WhatsApp assistant replies and summaries — AI outputs may be incomplete or wrong and are not a substitute for your own judgment or for professional, legal, or financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xunoia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Codager — including loss of data, loss of vault-protected secrets due to a lost passphrase or key, or actions taken (or not taken) based on the WhatsApp assistant's output. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction — to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Codager after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
